Annual EU Budget Conference 2024 - Looking ahead: the EU budget of the future

Brussels

This year's Annual EU Budget Conference, co-organised by the European Commission and the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU, focuses on the role of the EU budget in making Europe fit for the future.

The last years have been marked by far-reaching geopolitical events, emergencies, crises, that have had an impact on the EU's economy and society, at a time when it is facing the challenges of the green and digital transitions. This new global environment, as well as the enlargement perspective, will determine the Union's policies in the coming years. In this context, the EU budget will play a central role in achieving our common EU priorities.

Workshop on the implementation of the Instant Payments Regulation

Online

To facilitate a common understanding of the provisions of the Instant Payments Regulation and to assist Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in their efforts to begin implementation work as early as possible, the Commission is organising an online implementation workshop. During the workshop we will provide answers to the questions we received when we sent out the invitations to this event.

The workshop will focus on the interpretation of legal provisions and obligations laid down in the Instant Payments Regulation, and not on questions that deal purely with technical aspects or internal adjustments that are needed to comply with the obligations.
