Summer Party Launches in Hatton Garden This Week

The London centre for jewellery and diamonds, Hatton Garden, will be transformed into a vibrant pop up park later this week.

As a marketing initiative to encourage visitors and welcome customers, the well-known location will be offering free food, drinks, board games and yoga, making it fun for all the family.

The road is home to some of the UK’s most famous jewellers including Queen Smith, Fraser Hart and Hatton Garden Diamond. The area is located between Farringdon and Chancery Lane and was immortalised following a huge robbery which has since been turned into TV dramas and made it to the big screen.

The ‘summer party’ will be running from August 14-16 with a different theme each day. Wednesday has been set up as Picnic in the Park, Thursday as Pamper in the Park and, in time for the weekend, Friday as Party in the Park.

The Friday party will have a Latin American theme, with live music from Mariachi Tequila, salsa classes with Pineapple Studios, specially curated cocktails from Mambo, street food from Daddy Donkey, churros and piñatas.

Most of the road will be car-free, making it easy and pollution free for any families and visitors. There will be lots of chairs and beanbags for people to hang out.

It is completely free for visitors to come and enjoy the festivities.

Last week, a large green engagement ring made from a trimmed bush was placed in the middle of the street, inviting pedestrians to take selfies and send in their photos to win prizes.
