While many businesses and industries are struggling during the pandemic, several have grown despite the pandemic.

This includes warehouse jobs, delivery services, and online shopping. Amidst restrictions on travel, hobby and craft sales have also seen an increase in sales. As reported in IBIS World’s article Online Hobby & Craft Supplies Sales Industry in the US updated on September 29, 2020, “Online Hobby and Craft Supplies Sales industry revenue is projected to increase 9.2% in 2020 amid the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic as the percentage of business conducted online spikes.” An up-and-coming hobby in the industry is diamond painting, including the popular online store Diamond Painting Kits.

Expected to meet a million-dollar market this year, diamond painting is like a mix of cross stitch and paint by number with beadwork. A printed, coded canvas is used with a special pen to lock in the colored diamonds into place. It may sound like a complicated process but is relatively simple. The small synthetic crystals come in every color and may be flat, depending on the painting’s design. Designs range from classic holiday styles to full-size masterpieces and whimsical animal prints, flowers, and wolves to Disney, Harley Davidson, and unicorns.

This year, more than others has called for taking on a new hobby to help relax and soothe the soul. Many hobbyists have added diamond painting to their activities for its relaxing and meditative qualities. It is a hobby where anyone can become an instant artist while clearing a stressed mind. Some families take turns to create the diamond painting together.

Looking for a perfect, memorable gift? Any crafter or hobbyist will enjoy the change of pace with diamond painting. For a unique option, send in a favorite photo for a custom diamond painting kit. This is perfect for those friends and family members that you’ve missed seeing during pandemic restrictions. As the receiver starts to work on the diamond painting, their hyper-focus will completely absorb them into the painting.

So, where do you start if your inner artist wants to express itself? Diamond Painting Kits has a wide variety of kits, with sizes from 15×20 cm to 50×60 cm. Each kit contains everything you need, including the velvety coded canvas, 5D premium-colored diamonds, a premium pen, wax, tweezers, and easy to follow instructions. The diamond painting kits have 100% non-toxic glue and ink, skin, and eco-friendly materials.
