    9:00 am HCOB Manufacturing PMI (Feb)

    The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), released on a monthly basis by S&P Global and Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCOB), is a leading indicator gauging business activity in the Eurozone manufacturing sector. The data is derived from surveys of senior executives at private-sector companies from the manufacturing sector.

    10:00 am Core Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (MoM) (Feb) (Preliminary release)

    The Core Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) measures changes in the prices of a representative basket of goods and services in the European Monetary Union. The HICP, released by Eurostat on a monthly basis, is harmonised because the same methodology is used across all member states and their contribution is weighted.

    The Unemployment Rate released by Eurostat is the percentage of unemployed workers in the total civilian labour force. It is a leading indicator for the economy of the European Union.

    12:30 pm ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts

    ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts contain an overview of financial market, economic and monetary developments. It’s followed by a summary of the discussion, in an unattributed form, on the economic and monetary analyses and on the monetary policy stance.

    4:00 pm ECB’s Kocher speech

    Austrian central bank Governor Martin Kocher participates in a discussion about money and the economy in Innsbruck, Austria.

    5:00 pm ECB’s President Lagarde speech

    ECB President Christine Lagarde began her eight-year term at the helm of the ECB in November 2019. As part of her job on the Governing Council, Lagarde holds press conferences in detailing how the ECB observes the current and future state of the European economy.
