The European Commission announced Monday the winners of the 2024 European Innovative Teaching Award, with 96 Erasmus+ projects awarded in more than 30 countries within the EU and beyond.

This year’s winning projects emphasize topics such as physical and mental health, promotion of social and emotional competencies, enhanced capacity to make healthy choices, creation of supportive school and classroom environments that foster positive relationships, collaboration, learning, and personal development and many more.

Launched in 2021, the awards celebrate the achievements of teachers and schools involved in Erasmus+ projects. In cooperation with the Erasmus+ National Agencies, the selected projects are divided into four specific categories: 17 projects in the Early childhood education and care category, 27 projects in the Primary education category, 31 projects in the Secondary education category, and 21 projects in the Vocational education and training schools category.

The presentation of the winning projects will be available on a variety of platforms, including the European Innovative Teaching Award website, the Erasmus+ social channels, the European Education Area portal and the European School Education platform.

The successful teachers will have the opportunity to present their winning projects and share best practices to a wider audience during the hybrid event “European Innovative Teaching Award event 2024” which will take place on 14-15 November in Brussels and online.
