Britain officially ratifies EU treaty: ministry
(LONDON) - Britain has formally ratified the European Union's Lisbon Treaty by filing the official documents required in Rome, a Foreign Office spokesman said Thursday.
"The documents were lodged in Rome yesterday," said the spokesman, adding that Foreign Secretary David Miliband would make a statement on the issue later in the day.
