Popular Employee Wellbeing Initiative in EU Businesses

Today, employee wellbeing is one of the most important factors for companies to consider. However, there is a lot of misleading information about how to motivate your employees and what will make them happy. If you want to make sure that your employees are healthy both physically and mentally within their work environment, then read on!

    Employee Wellbeing: A Growing Concern

    • Employee wellbeing is a growing concern for EU businesses.
    • Wellbeing is not just about health, it is also about physical activity, mental well-being, social interactions and work-life balance.
    • Wellbeing is a broad concept that includes our physical health, but also our mental state (e.g. mood), our overall relationship with ourselves and other people around us as well as how we manage our emotions in different situations (e.g., during work). It refers to the way we feel when interacting with other people or during particular activities such as working or exercising.*

Employee Stress is on the Rise

As a business owner, you want to make sure your employees are happy and healthy. In addition to the obvious benefits of boosting morale and increasing productivity, you also want to avoid the negative impact that employee stress can have on your organization. Stress is linked to absenteeism (both short-term and chronic), lower productivity, higher health care costs, higher turnover rates and lower morale?all of which have serious consequences for business owners.

    A Look Across the Pond

The UK approach to employee wellbeing differs from that of the EU. In the UK, employee health and mental health are a priority. For example, many companies offer on-site gyms and offer employees access to healthy meals at work.

Research shows that people who are physically active are less likely to experience depression or anxiety. This makes sense when you consider how exhausting it can be to deal with mental health problems; working out gives you an outlet for stress and helps reduce feelings of isolation, which can make any problem seem even more overwhelming than it actually is.

Digital Coaching as an Emerging Trend

Digital coaching is a new trend in employee wellbeing, and it involves one-on-one online coaching or support. You can use digital coaching to support employees who are struggling with stress or burnout, or you can offer it as a tool for employee wellbeing. This can be done through messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Slack. Employees who feel supported by their employer are more likely to stay with their company for longer.

Every organization needs to realize that employee wellbeing is important.

As organizations across Europe become more aware of the need to prioritize employee wellbeing, digital coaching is emerging as one of the most promising solutions. Here’s why:

    • Employee stress is on the rise
    • Digital coaching provides a solution that works anywhere, anytime
    • It offers an alternative to traditional methods

    Conclusion

The EU is an important market for business, and employee wellbeing initiatives are a great way to foster a positive working environment. By investing in your employees’ well-being, you can create a more efficient team that will be able to work together and produce quality results.
