Do you want to capture your audience’s attention? Are you determined to build better relationships with your customers? If you answered yes to both of those questions, you must go above and beyond to make a great first impression on everybody that you seek to do business with.

Presenting yourself as an authoritative industry specialist right from the off is by no means an easy task. If you’re serious about mastering the art of the first impression, you’re going to need to heed the following advice.

Here are two things you must do to successfully schmooze your clients the second you meet them:

    Keep your car park clean

Before your clients walk through your office doors and meet you for the first time, they will pull up in your company car park. If you want this external space to play an active role in your attempt to make a great impression, you must make an effort to keep it clean at all times.

Don’t worry, though; this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to pull yourself away from your other important tasks in order to clean your car park. You can invest in the services of a specialist industrial cleaning organization to take on this crucial challenge on your behalf. Once you align yourself with an industry-leading expert such as ICE Cleaning, you won’t have to worry about graffiti, petrol stains, tire marks, dirt, grime or pigeon guano having a negative impact on your business’s brand image.

    Do your research

If you’re given the opportunity to perform background research on your potential clients before you have the pleasure of meeting them in person, do it. This will allow you to paint a better picture of what kind of consumer they are and, more importantly, what type/level of service they want and expect from you.

With this integral information in mind, you will then have the capacity to adhere to their specific desires, demands and specifications. In turn, this will help you to lay solid foundations for the ongoing working relationship that you share with them.

To research your prospective clients in a highly efficient and effective fashion, make an effort to join Facebook groups that your clients are a part of and study their online behavior (pay attention to who they are conversing with and what questions they are asking).

Then, to find out more about their interests both in and out of work, check out their social media profiles. You can also use Google Alerts so that you can remain in the loop with regard to any content they post online.

You only get one shot to make a great first impression? and you need to take it!

The way in which you present yourself when you first interact with a new client is of the utmost importance. This initial interaction will make or break your chances of success going forward, which is why it is imperative that you put all of the above advice into practice.
