While constructors are mainly aimed at children, adults commonly enjoy jigsaws as means to relax and contemplate.

UGears offers an exciting mixture of both wooden puzzles, which, when assembled, turn into three-dimensional models. Founded in 2014, this Ukrainian company sells its product all over the world: the business became unexpectedly successful.

The brand produces a wide variety of models of plywood. The packaging includes a set of thin boards with laser-cut parts of the model hold in place by tiny bridges. When you take a UGears mechanical puzzle in your hands, you see that all pieces can be easily squeezed out of the board by pushing. With each set goes a detailed explanation on how to assemble the mechanical puzzle. No glue or additional instruments are required.

    What Makes UGears Unique?

Hobby model kits existed long before the Ukrainian brand was created in 2015. Children and adults diligently worked to assemble ships, cars, and airplanes. Although UGears mechanical models have some features similar to other products, the combination of their characteristics makes them exceptional.

The main features of 3d puzzles are:

    • UGears 3d puzzles can move. Some of them produce sounds. With the famous Hurdy-gurdy, one can even play music. Moving mechanical models have existed before, but they were not DIY ones.
    • The finely cut pieces of wood fit into each other like cupboard jigsaw puzzles, but as a final result, one receives a beautiful and subtle interior object. 3d puzzles for adults and kids can be painted or left as they are. Some items like a treasure box or cardholder can be used as practical things too.
    • All models are fixed with the help of mechanical principles. 3d wooden puzzles for adults and kids can be put together and disassembled again.

    What Makes UGears Models Inspirational?

There is a strong retro vibe about UGears. Many models, like steam trains, for example, represent mechanisms and devices created in the golden era of engineering. A natural, not glossy material adds up to the feel.

The fantastic thing about UGears wooden model kits for adults is that they take away screen fatigue and reintroduce the joy of spatial thinking.
