Does Your Small Business Really Need A Managed IT Solution?

IT, who wants to think about it? Not most small businesses, that is for sure! When it comes to IT issues, many small business owners would instead do anything other than getting involved! If it is finance, you will hire an accountant. If it is a legal issue, you will hire a lawyer. So, what happens when an IT disaster strikes your business?

It is when problems arise that most small business owners suddenly realize that hiring a professional company to manage their IT solutions should have been a top priority.

    Why Outsource IT?

Managed IT solutions take away the need for small business owners to be experts in the field of servers, security issues, downtime, lag, e-mail hosting, CRM support, storage, networking issues, and all other issues facing their business. Hiring a professional company means always having access to IT support having a guaranteed service level in place, like the ‘help in 7 minutes’ promise that 24×7 IT Solutions make for their customers.

Having a third-party professional company manage your IT solutions means not having to worry about it. You can have assurance knowing that there is someone who has the knowledge and skill to sort your problems out.

    Security

First thing is first, your IT systems need to be secure. It is not enough to say you might have antivirus software, maybe, if it is still in date. Cybercrime is one of the fastest-growing crime issues companies will face, and your company must be doing everything in its power to protect the privacy of your customers and clients.

Security covers many aspects, from securing your networks, storing data, managing logins, and of course, ensuring that your employees can access their work adequately -an issue that has been made even more real with the current global pandemic forcing many to now work from home.

It is cheaper in the long run

Servers are expensive pieces of kit, and they have a lifespan the same as any technology does. Not only that but keeping a trained engineer as part of the staff is also an expensive habit if that is not your main business.

Hiring a company to manage your IT solutions gives you access to these two expensive necessities as well as more excellent (and costly) benefits.

    Reliable IT Infrastructure

They say that good employees leave bad managers. While that is true, there is also an argument that says good employees leave bad IT. Not having the IT and relevant technology to do their job effectively can demotivate even the best of employees, and demotivated employees tend to infect others, spreading their bad mood across the company.

This problem can be nipped in the bud immediately by doing an IT assessment. What do they need? Do they need a browser and a word processor? A standard laptop will be excellent. Do they do a lot of video editing in their role? They are going to need a much more powerful machine with a killer graphics card. These decisions are vital, and a third party adequately managing your IT solutions will help you make the right ones.
