Many of us are now opting to hire personal chefs that use all their equipment and can cook your family meals that are healthy and to a huge variety.

    What is a personal chef

Depending on the requirements or preferences of their client, a personal chef will create meals for private clients in either home kitchens or their own private kitchens, to then take to clients. The meals can be prepared, frozen, and reheated, with many choosing to buy in bulk. The chef will cook the meals that have been requested by the client’s, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferred menu choice. Often a private chef will provide a set menu, to make this process easier for everyone. Each meal will then be prepared and stored with instructions so that the client may either reheat it or eat it cold depending on the meal in question. Unless they are hired for an event or a gathering, the majority of personal chefs serve meals that can be reheated, due to the demands of the industry.

Make sure that you purchase some new equipment to ensure the food you make is of the highest quality, this includes new sauce pans, a kitchen knife set and high quality storage containers.

How they are changing the industry

Online marketplaces ? Online market places are making it easier to contact or order from Home Chefs. This ranges from the likes of Facebook to advertise services, to platforms like Foodcloud that work to connect clients and personal chefs.

Increase range of cuisine – The range of cuisines that can be supplied is often greater than that of a restaurant, and are often more affordable that eating out at a restaurant, and often to a higher quality as meals are not made under time pressures.

Authentic flavours ? Personal chefs are more likely to cook their native cuisine than restaurant chefs, so the taste and flavour of the food is more authentic and to a higher standard. This is great if you enjoy a specific cuisine or regional dish.
