Why Is CSGO Still Popular in 2022

If you’re a huge fan of eSports, then you must be familiar with CSGO (Counter-Strike: Global Offensive). The multiplayer first-person shooter game was initially released in 2012 and is still popular.

CSGO is popular among players and sports bettors, with lots of CSGO betting sites coming into the picture. But what is making this game still well-loved and popular in 2022?

    Let’s explore:

    Large Community

Many games come and disappear. But CSGO has managed to retain its popularity, especially because of its large community. In 2020, the community reached nearly 24 million monthly active users. This figure doesn’t include those involved in CSGO betting. If we include them, the community will become surprisingly larger.

    Easy to Understand

The game features a super simple scenario, unlike many other recently-developed multiplayer eSports. In the game, terrorists want to explode a bomb or harm hostages. Counter-terrorists want to keep terrorists by killing hostages and defusing the bomb. So, you’ll enjoy the game from the very start. Simply take your weapon and shoot these guys. It’s like other old and forever games, like Bingo is still in the craze. But CSGO is different!

    Deeper Gameplay

CSGO has much deeper gameplay than you think in the beginning. When you start, you run around the maps, throwing grenades and shooting everything. Then, as boys grow into men, they taste sweeter victories. Each location in the game is different, so you would need different strategies in each place.

You need to learn each unique weapon and how to use it to shoot like a pro. Other aspects like proper usage of grenades, team communication and deceiving people on maps make CSGO a game with the deepest experience.

    Exciting Skins

CSGO uses cosmetic items to customize weapons. The skins don’t affect actual gameplay. They’re simply images that you can add to your default weapons. This helps express your real-world personality and unique style. Appearing in front of the opponents of teammates with rare skin will change their perspective towards you. Thus, we can say that skins affect the final result of the match.

    Regular Updates

CSGO in 2022 is much different than it was in 2012. Although the basis remains the same, developers regularly update the game to make it more interesting. Now, the visuals look more impressive, and the whole game feels well-optimized for powerful gaming PCs. Players enjoy new content, including weapons, skins, modes, and maps.

With CSGO being updated regularly, we can expect that eSports lovers will continue to love it even more beyond 2022.
