Minister Donohoe met the Dutch Minister for Finance and First Deputy Prime Minister, Sigrid Kaag, in The Hague on 18 May, and discussed the economic situation in the Netherlands and the euro-area as a whole.
Minister Donohoe, in his role as President of Eurogroup, will meet the Dutch Minister for Finance and First Deputy Prime Minister, Sigrid Kaag, in The Hague on 18 May. He will then travel to Petersberg, Bonn to participate in the meeting of G7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors chaired by the German Presidency of the G7.

The European Union and Canada published a joint declaration following the third EU-Canada Joint Ministerial Committee meeting.
The EU issued a declaration on the 2022 International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT), reaffirming its strong commitment to respect, protect and fulfil the full and equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) persons.
Cyber-attacks: Council extends sanctions regime until 18 May 2025
The Council prolonged the framework for restrictive measures against cyber-attacks threatening the EU and its member states until 18 May 2025.
TEN-E: Council gives green light to new rules for cross-border energy infrastructure
The Council adopted today a revised Trans-European Networks for Energy (TEN-E) Regulation. The new rules aim to modernise, decarbonise and interconnect member states' cross-border energy infrastructures in order to help the EU achieve its 2050 climate neutrality objectives. The revised regulation also aims to continue ensuring market integration, competitiveness and security of supply.
Council approves Data Governance Act
The Council today approved a new law to promote the availability of data and build a trustworthy environment to facilitate their use.
