EU parliament chief urges 'solid' Greek government 'ready to deliver'

(BRUSSELS) - European Parliament President Martin Schulz Sunday urged a "solid" government to be formed quickly in Greece, calling on the new authorities to be "ready to deliver" after leftist Alexis Tsipras appeared to have won re-election.

"I've just congratulated (Tsipras) for Syriza victory in Greece elections. Now a solid government ready to deliver is needed quickly," Schulz tweeted.
