Eurozone official inflation stable at 2.4% in June

(BRUSSELS) - Eurozone inflation was unchanged in June from the May figure and still above target at an annualised 2.4 percent, new figures from the EU statistics office Eurostat showed on Monday.

It was the 19th month running to see inflation above the European Central Bank's (ECB) medium-term inflation target of below but close to 2.0 percent.

Lowest inflation figures were in Sweden, with a 0.9 percent rise, Greece with 1.0 percent and Bulgaria at 1.6 percent. Hungary by contrast saw a 5.6 percent rise while Estonia and Malta both registered a 4.4 percent increase.
