Europe has also been giving rise to several tech companies. Although the UK is home to some of the popular tech companies, it is surprising that the most valued ones are found in Scandinavia. Here is a look at some of the largest tech companies in the EU despite the Brexit mess.

1. Spotify

Spotify is not only Europe's most valued music streaming company but the entire world's. It is valued at $16 billion. Spotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. It was created so that it could help decrease the rate of music piracy in the 21st century. The Swedish music streaming site was successfully launched in 2008, and with the help of Facebook, it rose to prominence.

Spotify is one of the three tech companies in Europe to be valued over $10 billion. Although the company has faced a lot of criticism, it has gone through them all.

2. Zalando

Zalando is the epitome of e-commerce success. The company was founded in 2008 by Dabid Scheinder and Robert Gentz n Berlin, Germany. It is a fashion e-commerce site that deals in everything apparel. It has grown to become a multibillion-dollar business which is fighting with top brands such as Amazon. It is aiming to be the Netflix of fashion.

3. Deliveroo

The UK is the center of the digital revolution in Europe. Although the Brexit is causing an uproar in the continent could undermine a business in the EU. Deliveroo is one of UKs unicorn which is growing at a fast rate. The food delivery company was opened five years ago, and it is run in over 12 countries, with an estimated 6 million clients. In the UK it has partnered with 10,000, and it is now growing its wings even to Hong Kong. In June 2018, the company was valued at $2 billion.

4. Revolut

Revolut is another UK startup which has been ranked in LinkedIn's top startup companies in the EU. The London based fintech has eased traveling by eliminating the need to carry money. Revolut offers a live exchange debit cards which users can use in 150 countries. The tech company has managed to grow its client base by 2.5 million since it was launched in 2015. Last year the company was valued at £1.2 billion.
