Geeks: The True Warriors Out There Today

Imagine how our lives would be if we were not playing any video games? I am sure that even the thought of it feels like a horror movie. A world without Fortnite, Minecraft, Spore, Resident Evil and so many others would be impossible to live in this current world. But to whoever came up with the concept of video games we would like to say a special thank you.

If you love playing video games then is it right that I call you a geek? You don't have to be wearing glasses and braces to be described as a geek but you might socially awkward. You can also make money by playing online games with Bingo promo codes, and win big. There are a great many choices out there, so you surely wouldn't feel bored.

According to an Australian study, most of the avid games which lock themselves up describe themselves as introverts. This article is not going to focus on the reasons why geeks like to lock themselves up instead of how they are impacting the video game industry.

Why do video games cost so much?

While you are playing a video game such as Fortnite which is arguably the biggest game, do you ever think about the production process? I am going to make good of my guess and say no. The initial cost of developing a video game is costly. The primary value of the video game will be found in the amount of money that is paid to the developers. However, this can mainly be attributed to the fact that video games are becoming more realistic, complex and sophisticated in terms of design and development. Therefore the more complex the video is at the moment then it means that you will need more workforce.

At the initial development of a video game, most video games think that one developer will be enough. Well, the truth of the matter is that no sooner or later the size will grow to what sometimes can be termed as outrageous. However, if you are looking to develop an AAA game, then you are sure to have a significant workforce. For instance, Rockstar Games which is the creator of Grand Theft Auto V had a workforce of 3000 developers when it was designing Red Redemption 2. The game which was released in 2018 sold 17 million copies in eight days that it had been in the market.

Why are Geeks in demand?

If you describe yourself as a geek, then I have good news for you. In the game industry, there are a lot of video game developers who are seeking to hire geeks. This can be attributed to the fact that they practically love what they do. They are artists who can work under no supervision because they have a passion for what they are doing. Moreover, geeks reduce the number of workforces which you will require while developing a game which in other terms means less cost.
