This guide outlines the corporate social responsibility standards that businesses in Bulgaria have to comply with.


Legal requirements

Corporate social responsibility (CSR)

CSR allows you to manage your company and to interact with shareholders, while at the same time maintaining certain minimum ethical and social responsibility standards.

There are specific standards which must be complied with and which you can find in the Labour Code (KT).

To set up an inter-departmental working group for drafting a CSR strategy you should first contact the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

Companies can invest in staff training or providing favourable conditions by offering credit.

The law requires businesses to comply with minimum social and environmental rules.
