EUbusiness' EUnews RSS feed delivers the latest news about the European Union directly to you as soon as a new article is published.
This means you can monitor the latest news on EUbusiness.com without having to remember to visit our site every day. It's quicker than revisiting the site several times a day to check for updates. A feed reader will scan for updates and display them for you.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a file (XML) that can be read by special feed reading software or a web service that you can use from your web browser. Put the address of one of our web feeds into your reader, and it will display the latest headlines, each one with a synopsis and a link that will take you to the full story.
How do I use RSS feeds?
The first thing you need is a news reader. This piece of software checks RSS feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added to them. There are a number of different versions, some of which are accessed using your browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer wherever you are, while downloadable applications let you store them on your main desktop computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail.
To view our web feed you need software called a feed reader or aggregator. Feed readers you could try include:
Windows
Newz Crawler
FeedDemon
NewsPoint
Awasu
Mac OS X
Web
Browser
Once you have installed a feed reader you can add the EUnews feed by clicking on the orange RSS link below.
Setting up a feed differs from one aggregator to another, but it usually involves copying the URL of the feed (from the address bar on your browser) and pasting it into the reader.
