Transport in the EU
News and information about the Transport policies of the European Union.
European Union transport policies aim at fostering clean, safe and efficient travel throughout Europe, underpinning the internal market of goods and the right of citizens to travel freely throughout the EU. European Commission policies promote in particular the combining of different modes of transport - seen as a solution for the future of freight - and sustainable mobility, encouraging technical innovation and a shift towards the least polluting and most energy efficient modes of transport.
