ACTA - the Anti–Counterfeiting Trade Agreement - is an international trade agreement aimed at ensuring the EU's already high standard of protection for intellectual property rights can be enforced globally. ACTA is an international trade agreement that will help countries work together to tackle more effectively large-scale Intellectual Property Rights violations. Citizens will benefit from ACTA because it will help protect Europe's raw material – innovations and ideas.
