Publication synopsis The publication presents the different stages in venture capital investments - early stage and expansion and replacement stage- and their situation in different parts of the world. After a boom in 2000, venture capital investments collapsed both in the United States and in Europe, waiting 2005 to live some kind of revival. UK is the absolute leader in using those investments as source of financing in Europe where entrepreneurs still prefer more traditional forms of financing. Some significant examples of national venture capital associations from different parts of the world are also presented.
