Entropa: Stereotypes are Barriers to be Demolished

The Czech Republic, as president of the European Union, unveiled on 12 December a modern art installation called 'Entropa'. Entropa was billed as the joint work of 27 artists, each one from a different EU Member State. Each object depicts one Member State using common stereotypes or prejudices. The Czech sculptor behind the work, David Cerny, has revealed the work as a fake which only involved Czech artists.
