The event will address topics as diverse as adaptation strategies for
climate change, health and safety at work, and management of energy
issues and of natural and agricultural resources. These changes are
likely to have consequences, both immediate and long-term, for society,
the economy and daily life.
The conference will also focus on how advances in the design and
development of environmental technologies will impact rural
development. Farming, aquaculture, forestry and multifunctional uses of
the land will all be taken into account.
