Call for proposals for 'Prize Innovation SOFT'

The European Commission has published its call for proposals for 'Prize Innovation SOFT'. This new call comes under the Horizon 2020 specific pillar 'Euratom'.

With a view to support innovation in fusion research, the Prize Innovation SOFT is being offered to highlight and reward research excellence in this field. Participants are free to submit an application concerning any physics or technology innovation that has been or is being developed in the European fusion research programme. In order to be eligible, such innovation should have a market potential or already have been taken up by industry to be further developed for the market.

The Jury evaluating submissions will consist of a group of independent experts appointed by the Commission, who are all knowledgeable in innovative processes and technology transfer and come from business and academia. The Jury will submit to the Commission the selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed winners who will receive 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 Euros respectively. The winners will be announced at the SOFT conference in September 2014.
