EU stages anti-trust raids in financial derivatives sector
(BRUSSELS) - European anti-trust officials raided companies in several EU states involved in financial derivatives linked to the Euro Interbank Offered Rate (EURIBOR), the European Commission said Wednesday.
"The Commission has concerns that the companies concerned may have violated EU antitrust rules that prohibit cartels and restrictive business practices," the EU executive said in a statement.
The inspections began Tuesday, it added.
