(PARIS) - Global drink giant Pernod Ricard announced on Wednesday that it would launch an operation to raise one billion euros of capital as soon as possible to reduce debt.

The group also announced the sale of its Wild Turkey bourbon brand to Italian group Campari for 575 million dollars (433 million euros).

It said that this sale took to 60 percent the achievement of its plan to raise one billion euros by selling strategic assets, announced in July after it had acquired the Swedish group Vin & Spirit.
