Eurozone manufacturing, services activity slows
(BRUSSELS) - Activity slowed in both the manufacturing and services sectors in the 15 nations sharing the euro in March, a survey showed on Thursday.
The eurozone's purchasing managers' index (PMI), compiled by NTC Research, slid to 51.9 points, compared to 52.8 points in February, according to a first "flash" estimate.
It was virtually in line with the 52 points predicted by the TFN financial agency. A figure above the 50-point level indicates a growth in activity, while any below it signifies a contraction.
The services survey fell to 51.7 points in March from 52.3 in February, while manufacturing eased to 52.0 points from 52.3 the previous month.
