Looking at the daily period 1 September 2008 - 4 August 2011, the paper finds that three factors can explain the recorded developments in sovereign spreads: (i) an aggregate regional risk factor, (ii) the country-specific credit risk and (iii) the spillover effect from Greece. Specifically, higher risk aversion has increased the demand for the Bund and this is behind the pricing of all euro area spreads, including those for Austria, Finland and the Netherlands. Country-specific credit ratings have played a key role in the developments of the spreads for Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain. Finally, the rating downgrade in Greece has contributed to developments in spreads of countries with weaker fiscal fundamentals: Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Belgium and France.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>inadim</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Portugal</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Ireland</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Greece</dc:subject> <dc:subject>debt</dc:subject> <dc:subject>crisis</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Euro</dc:subject> <dc:date>2012-02-10T17:59:35Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Book</dc:type> </item>

Within the framework of the MFF 2014-2020, both in the proposal from 29 June 2011, and in the sector-specific proposals, the Commission presented many simplification measures.

Through this Communication the Commission demonstrates that the objective of simplification must remain a main principle in the next Multiannual Financial Framework.

The current rules are both fragmented and complex; by simplifying them and by reducing red tape, we would allow the EU budget to contribute more to the economic growth in Europe through better access to funds for SMEs', local and regional authorities, scientists and others.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>eub2</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>SMEs</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Finance</dc:subject> <dc:date>2012-02-08T22:29:00Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Book</dc:type> </item>

The Court assessed the effectiveness of the EU financial assistance (2 850 million euro up to now) in supporting recipient countries’ efforts to decommission their closed nuclear reactors and to address the consequences of the early closure. The Court found that progress has been slow, no comprehensive assessment of future needs exists, and available funding is plainly insufficient. The Court recommended making conditional any further support upon an evaluation of the EU added value.</description> <dc:publisher>No publisher</dc:publisher> <dc:creator>eub2</dc:creator> <dc:rights></dc:rights> <dc:subject>Energy</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Lithuania</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Environment</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Slovakia</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Bulgaria</dc:subject> <dc:date>2012-02-08T10:39:11Z</dc:date> <dc:type>Book</dc:type> </item>
