The integration of mobile devices into the car ecosystem is an area of
increasing interest researchers and industry. Integration goes beyond
using the core features (such as making phone calls, short messaging, or
using social media networks) of such devices. In the near future, for
example, tablets and smartphones may be a vital part of car-enabling
services.
This type of development leads to a number of research questions regarding software and the domain of software engineering.
The event will look at current challenges and promising approaches
for integrating mobile devices into the automotive environment.
Challenges regarding requirements engineering, user experience and
software architecture will be addressed from different stakeholder
viewpoints.
