by Ina Dimireva -- last modified 17 November 2009

An overview of the sources of finance available to SMEs in Estonia.

There are several ways to increase the financial means of an enterprise:

  • Bank loans;
  • Aid to entrepreneurs;
  • Increasing an enterprise's capital.

In order to get a bank loan one has to apply to a bank. Aid to entrepreneurs is generally project-based. In other words, in order to get aid an entrepreneur has to submit a business plan and achievable goals to the provider of the aid.

The increase of an enterprise's capital is carried out according to the provisions of the Commercial Code.
