Taking care of a chinchilla takes a lot of effort and patience because they are very cute and delicate pet animals. Chinchilla comes in many different color and they have a much longer lifespan when compared to other rodents. This should be taken into consideration when thinking about the cost of chinchilla. Other expenses will include cage, chew toys, and chinchilla food. Some of the common chinchilla food includes timothy hay and alfafa hay. Pellets also form part of the pet's daily diet. If you have extra fruits at home, you can also give some to your chinchilla as treats. But be careful not to give them too much food that is outside of their natural diet because that may cause indigestion or even worse problem.
