Fight against corruption as priority of present Ukraine

This is only one of the moments of present life of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine headed by 42-years-old general Valery Khoroshkovskyy became the instrument of eradication of corruption in various spheres of public life. Few years ago corruption was common occurrence among officials. Sociological researches showed that 64,7% of Ukrainian citizens are facing the facts of corruption in the institutes of power. For East of Ukraine this index made 34%, for the West - over 80%. The most corrupted structures were usually considered courts, police, and authority responsible for land use, and permitting system. 57% of Ukrainians in their answers on questions of sociologists were saying that finding a truth in courts is possible only for money, and 25% claimed in general they will be afraid to apply to court. That what was built in Ukraine for the past years was considered the triumph of Latin-American model of standard of mid XX century.

Today in Ukraine, that declared about her desire to become part of European community and intends December 19^th to sign an agreement of association and of free trade zone with EU, there was initiating wide-raging reforms without which the economy of the country is doomed. And the corruption is a main obstacle on the way of reformation of country. The authority has quite a bit of opponents - and opposition (separated and anemic) has found an ally in the face of bureaucratic vehicle and some oligarchs, sponsoring the members of the opposition.

In Europe, where much attention is paid to the case of ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, convicted in October this year for seven years of imprisonment, practically other numbers do not undertake into account. For the past half of the year there were excited to action 78 representatives of old ruling command and over 540 criminal cases against those who came to power after 2010. There are a row of mayors of large cities under the guard, the officials of Land service, chairman of the State committee of financial services, former speaker of Supreme Council of Crimea and governor of the Kherson oblast. In August practically in full strength were arrested guidance of Odessa customs office, and also public servants, in a number of courts. That is all are evidences of active fight of Security Service of Ukraine against corruptionists.

The inflow of investments is expected to Ukraine- including those from the European countries. A government promises to create a favorable investment climate, reduce taxes and enter the row of privileges for potential investors. However the investments will not go into the country, where everything is determined by corruption mechanisms. It is well understood in guidance of Ukraine, and that is why a fight against a corruption carries fundamental, deep character – the most massive for throughout the years of independence.

So the case of Vladimir Galickyy - it is just one of episodes in the fight which is unlikely to go on a slump in near future. To overcome a corruption is not that simple. But main thing is that will and desire at today's guidance of Ukraine is obviously presented.
