Poland committed to fight on terrorism, EU experts say

Poland is very committed to the fight against terrorism on its soil and across the European Union, EU experts said here Thursday.

"All the concerned services are very committed in the fight against and prevention of terrorism. They cooperate fully with their opposite numbers in the other EU countries," said Niels Bracke, a member of the European team which spent five days inspecting services in Poland.

He refused to go into details about the team's mission in Poland, but told journalists they had found the Polish services "professional and enthusiastic."

"The detail of the mission remains confidential," Bracke said.

The team is due to visit all the 25 members of the EU and present a report on their findings in the second half of 2005.
