The broadcasters originally signed a deal back in 2009 in which VoD serviced 4oD and YouTube serviced Demand 5. However, the agreements expire in March 2013 and November 2012 and therefore they have kicked off renegotiations over the distribution deals ahead of the termination.

In the last three years, C4 has attracted 114 million views on its YouTube channel, 4oD, and it has accumulated 343,000 subscribers. In contrast, C5 has assembled 31.8 million views and 33,000 subscribers.
