The survey was conducted by an independent research group and found that 91% out of 500 employers surveyed like to receive a phone call from candidates, thanking their potential employers for meeting with them.

Moving away from more traditional means of communication such as writing a formal letter, this method is more personal and the survey suggests that showing this added gratitude over the phone, could secure you the job over other applicants.
