Alongside plenary sessions and topical symposiums, the keynote lecture will be given by Dr Heather Zar, a renowned expert in pediatric pulmonology from South Africa. There will also be interactive sessions covering the use of the latest technology in bronchoscopy and respiratory imaging, as well as interactive clinical case sessions. Visitors will be able to attend presentations of clinical cases and discuss them directly with prestigious experts. Additionally, there will be a workshop on potential therapeutic uses of magic, which can be used as a means of entertainment and communication with sick children. Finally, there will be satellite symposiums sponsored by the pharmaceutical and medical industry.
The Young Researchers Forum will take centre stage at the 8th CIPP. The Lung and Childhood Young Researcher Prize will award a total of six prizes in the form of travel grants to young researchers in pediatric pulmonology whose work has been selected by an international special jury. Recipients will be offered the opportunity to present their research in a plenary session.
There will be 2,000 doctors attending the event, all of whom are specialists in treating children with chest diseases. Participants from nearly 90 countries will be able to find information about improving the treatment of young patients. This international perspective and the support of young researchers remain the hallmark of CIPP.
