Who are we?
We are a privately-owned company backed by Finance Yorkshire which is capitalised by £90 million of grants from the UK Government, the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank.
We are small team of dynamic individuals. Our aim is to give businesses and individuals the same buying power for their international payments as that offered to large corporates and blue chips.
We started in 2004, to service the currency needs of small and medium-sized businesses and individuals. Since then we have helped thousands of customers with their currency needs.
In 2006 we became the first company in the world to offer live 'streaming' (the rate changes automatically on the screen) to small businesses and individuals.
In 2012 we successfully raised equity finance from Finance Yorkshire, a £90 million UK Government-funded organisation and in 2013 we attained full authorisation status from the FCA as a Payments Institution.
We are fully authorised by the FCA (formerly the FSA).
