Ben Van Rompuy

Ben Van Rompuy is a legal researcher at the Institute for European Studies (IES). He is also affiliated to IBBT-SMIT, Free University of Brussels (VUB) and was until recently a visiting scholar at New York University (NYU). His research is concerned with the objectives of EU and U.S. antitrust law and policy.

With a one-day conference in Stockholm, hosted by the Swedish EU Presidency, the European Commission wanted to enhance the visibility of EU competition policy (or anti-trust policy, in American terminology) and explain its achievements to the general public.
