European Small Business Alliance
Founded in 1998 by eight independent national small business associations, The European Small Business Alliance (ESBA) is a non-party political group, which cares for small business entrepreneurs and the self-employed and represents them through targeted EU advocacy and profiling activities. ESBA also works towards the development of strong independent advocacy and benefits groups in European countries. ESBA's new website, which provides an innovative approach to communication amongst business organizations, reflects these three main fields of activity.

Today the European Commission announced that the European Small Business Alliance (ESBA) won the contract to reinvigorate WEgate, the EC women entrepreneurship platform.

On 29 January 2019, The European Small Business Alliance organised the Better Regulation Event with First Vice-President Frans Timmermans. ESBA President David Caro opened the event and spoke to the audience about being a small business person himself and his own experiences with administrative and regulatory burden.

On 6 of February the European Parliament Plenary approved the agreement on the geo-blocking regulation, reached in trilogue by the European Institutions 2017. ESBA welcomes any initiatives that intends to simplify operating within the Single Market for businesses and citizens. Unfortunately, the decision made yesterday has done the exact opposite for small businesses.
