The successful candidate must have a degree in science, practical and verifiable experience working with the REACH Regulation, knowledge of core risk assessment and/or risk management principles relating to chemicals and excellent project management skills.

Knowledge of and experience in the assessment and valuation of environmental and human health risks of chemical substances and/or in the use of socio-economic analysis techniques would be a distinct advantage.

The Consultant or Senior Consultant (position will be dependent on candidates' background and experience) will support and, where necessary, have the responsibility for project management: of new REACH-related projects, such as

• the preparation of Applications for Authorisation or written commentaries on proposed Restrictions on behalf of private clients,
• the preparation of Annex XV dossiers on behalf ECHA, or
  
• the delivery of written Analyses of Alternatives or Socio-economic Assessments for a range of clients.
  

Simultaneous work on more than one on-going project will be necessary.
