The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is an intergovernmental organisation set up for the promotion of free trade and economic integration to the benefit of its four Member States: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The Geneva office of the EFTA Secretariat supports the EFTA Council and supplies services related to free trade and cooperation instruments with countries outside the European Union, and the Brussels office assists in managing the European Economic Area (EEA) Agreement

The Secretary-General’s Office services the EFTA Council and coordinates various horizontal activities, including information and communication. Its nine staff members are located in the EFTA Secretariat’s offices in Geneva and Brussels. The successful candidate will join the information team stationed in Brussels and will work in close cooperation with EFTA’s IT staff.

The Information Coordinator will mainly focus on internal information activities, in particular the content management of databases, including intranet and document management systems, archives and other related information tools and sources. In addition, the Information Coordinator will take part in other communications activities such as maintaining and developing the content of the EFTA website, and will also have a role in training staff and providing user support.
