The Division is responsible for analysing policy issues relating to financial stability, monitoring and assessing developments in the EU/euro area banking and other financial sectors from a financial stability perspective, and contributing to policy discussions on financial stability issues in international and European fora. It also coordinates the monitoring and assessment of the overall stability of the EU/euro area financial system, including the preparation of the ECB Financial Stability Review, which is published semi-annually.
The selected experts will assist in monitoring and assessing current conditions in the EU/euro area banking and other financial sectors from a financial stability perspective. They will contribute to reports (including the Financial Stability Review), notes, speeches and briefing material for the decision-making bodies of the ECB. They will also contribute to projects by carrying out analytical studies that underpin the Division’s financial sector surveillance work.
