Details

The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is a multilateral development bank with an exclusively social mandate.

In the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), the incumbent will be providing legal advice on a wide range of transactions in connection with the Bank's project financing activity, in particular:

  • Monitoring legal issues during project appraisal
  • Providing legal input during contract negotiations (loans/grants, guarantees/collateral)
  • Supervising the work of external legal advisors
  • Drafting legal/policy documents, opinions and reports
  • Conducting research concerning topics of relevance for project financing operations (procurement, environmental and social safeguards, compliance, dispute settlement)
  • Carrying out administrative/procedural formalities

The incumbent, depending on his/her experience, may also work on transactions in connection with the Bank's capital markets activity (funding/derivatives/repos…).
