Responsibilities 

The government affairs specialist will report directly to the Trade and Consumer Affairs Manager.

He/she will assist in managing and running several working groups dealing with issues such as fair trade, market surveillance, trade defence instruments, the review of the Consumer Acquis and corporate social responsibility. The Government Affairs Specialist will also help in drafting position
papers, carrying our desktop research, drafting minutes and maintaining the public and members' websites. 
 
Profile

CECED are looking for a bright, highly motivated individual with a good knowledge of the EU institutions and EU policies.

Candidates should hold a university and masters degree relevant to above mentioned policy areas. Work experience in EU affairs would be an asset.
 
He/she should be able to meet tight deadlines and be willing to work in a multinational environment. Fluency in English, both spoken and written is a  must. Knowledge of any other
European language would be a plus. Basic computer literacy (MS Office and Web maintenance) is essential.
