Hungary looks for EU assistance
Hungary hopes to receive four billion eurosbillion dollars) a year between 2007 and 2013 from the European Union, Hungarian Foreign Minister Laszlo Kovacs said Monday.
"It is critical that Hungary's subsidy in the new EU budget amount to four billion euros if we are going to catch up with the European Union," he said.
Negotiations on the future EU community budget for 2007-2013 are to get under way this autumn at ministerial level, with the goal of reaching an accord among heads of state and government in 2005.
