The EU-funded ReproFish and AquaBreeding projects are organising a workshop on 'The future prospects for aquaculture breeding in Europe' from 1 to 3 October in Paris, France.

Attendees The target audience is European companies and research organisations involved in aquaculture reproduction and genetic improvement. Participation is by invitation only.

The three days of the event, which also marks the completion of the two projects, will each be dedicated to a specific subject area, namely:
- results of the ReproFish project and open discussion with fish hatchery managers;
- results of the AquaBreeding project and open discussion with fish and shellfish breeders and hatchery managers;
- implementation and improvement of breeding programmes and aquaculture research in the context of EU funding.

The workshop is intended for European companies and research organisations involved in aquaculture reproduction and genetic improvement.
