Development DG

The Development DG helps to reduce and ultimately to eradicate poverty in the developing countries through the promotion of sustainable development, democracy, peace and security. It initiates and formulates the EU's development policy for all developing countries and also coordinates the EU's relations with the Sub-Saharan African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries as well as the overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs).
