Funding of Data Protection Agencies in Europe

25 June 2003, 22:16 CET

I am trying to ascertain to what extent European DPAs are becoming self-funded (by imposing sanctions/penalties) as opposed to receiving state funding. Also, is there any recent data on the amount of fines imposed by DPAs across European member states from penalties for non-compliance with host state data protection legislation?
Thks
Graham Rivers-Moore
Graham Rivers-Moore
